Weeks 46 & 47... Girls, Girls, Girls
March 2 - March 15, 2009

We are going to be having so many visitors; I'm always happy for people to come visit me, especially when they bring little kids that I can play with!

Mommy and Daddy have been going to the dentist a lot lately, and we had to go to Greeneville again this week so that Daddy could have a cavity filled. That means that I get to go visit with Grandma and Papaw. Papaw has lots of airplanes, and he always lets me play with them. Mommy can't believe it though, because he lets me do such dangerous things with them, and I don't get into trouble. Mommy says she guesses that's what grandparents are for anyways.

Scott, Amanda, Abby, and Ava came to visit over the weekend. They got to our house after I had already fallen asleep Friday night, so I had to wait until Saturday to see them! When we got up, I got to play with Ava and Abby! They fed me cheerios. We went out in service in the morning, and in the afternoon we played while Daddy and Scott watched us and Mommy and Amanda went out for a little while.

After they got back, Daddy and Scott left, and we went to the outlets in Sevierville. Abby, Ava, and I got sick of being there after not long, and so did Mommy and Amanda! We left to go eat supper with Daddy and Scott after going to only 3 stores. On our way to meet them, Amanda stopped to get a kids meal for the girls. The girls were nice enough to share a chicken nugget and french fry with me. They were my first!

Sunday, we went to the meeting, and I got to play with the girls just a little while longer before they had to go home. I also got my first upper tooth today!
My favorite bedtime snack is popcorn! I just love when Mommy makes it. I always raid the bowl first.
Daddy and I always have a good time taking a nap together. I just love naps anyways!Well Mommy decided she couldn't leave me for a second while I'm in my high chair! It attaches to our dinner table; Mommy had gone into the laundry room after giving me a snack, and when she came back, this is how she found me!

I learned how to sign "More" this week. I think I'll like signing; it's fun. I also got my second upper tooth!

The last weekend, Nana and Papa came to visit! I stayed awake extra late, so that I could see them when they got here Friday. Friday night, Mommy and Daddy went out to a concert, and I got to stay at my house with Nana and Papa. We had such a good time!

Saturday we were lazy! We lounged around the house a lot, and Saturday night, we had dinner at home, but then we got to make fondu for dessert! It was so good, and my favorite was the lady fingers. They were yummy.

Sunday, we went to the meeting. This little girl comes to my meeting, and we were born on the same exact day! Wouldn't it be fun if we grew up and got married, since we both have the same birthday!

Weeks 44 & 45... Measles, Rubella, or Allergic Reactions
February 16 - March 1, 2009

Monday, Daddy was off work. Mommy and Daddy met with a Real estate agent and put our house up for sale; we are going to move to Greeneville to help Papaw with the farm. They really want me to grow up to learn to be responsible and know how to work hard; also, they want me to have a big yard to play in, and Daddy says we'll get a puppy after we move there too.

Mommy read me a story that afternoon, and I started pointing to things in the book.

Tuesday, we went to Grandma and Papaw's. Mommy had a dentist appointment at her old dentist, so Grandma kept me while she went. Mommy told me she didn't have any cavities. I don't know what those are, but she was pretty happy not to have any. It came a really bad storm that afternoon, and Great-Nana really didn't want us to drive home; Mommy wanted to get home very badly though, and we headed home anyways. The storm only lasted about 2 minutes and turned out to be not bad at all. We pretty much had blue skies the whole way home!

On Wednesday, Mommy took me to the doctor because I had a real funny spot on top of my head. It started out looking like pimples, but it turned out to be a cold sore that I got from Daddy. I had to be on antibiotics and antivirals, as well as a couple of topical creams.

Thursday, I said duck for the first time! Well, I say it like "duh", but I know that's my rubber ducky. Also, on Saturday, I started shaking my head no to things. Mommy thinks it's so cute, but Daddy doesn't like it very much.

Here I am, on the day I turned ten months old.
See me with my rubber ducky?

Peek-a-boo!

The next Thursday, I had a rash pop us. We had gone for a walk, and Mommy thought it was a heat rash because she had me dressed so warmly. Daddy had off Friday again, but he ended up having to take care of me and Mommy. Mommy got the flu! My rash was REALLY bad too, and Mommy was really worried about me. Mommy called the nurse, and she told her to give me a soothing bath, and come in Monday if it got any worse.

It kept getting worse through the day on Friday, and that night, Daddy though I might have the measles. I had a combination of the symptoms of measles and german measles (rubella), and Mommy got really worried. Daddy said we'd go to a clinic in the morning, and Mommy kept an eye on me for the rest of the night. Mommy and Daddy called my grandparents and learned that most of them had measles before, so Mommy didn't worry quite as much.

Saturday, Daddy couldn't find a clinic, and so we called the emergency room; they told us to come in if my temperature went over 102 degrees. Mommy decided to go talk to the pharmacist, and he told her that I had probably had an allergic reaction to penicillin. After Mommy learned that she felt much better. He told her I'd be just fine, but to let the doctor know about my reaction.

Mommy was still really sick, so Daddy continued to take care of us the rest of the weekend. He's such a good Daddy!
