Baby Showers Galore!

With the coming of our little one, everyone has been so generous and thoughtful helping us out with all the new things we have to get for Cohen. So far, we have had 3 small showers! Tommy's workmates threw the first shower luncheon... We went to Puleo's Grill. It was very yummy, and everyone enjoyed giving Tommy a hard time by calling Cohen, baby Peyton (after the former UT Quarterback).

Here is Tommy's cake from work... they had one orange flower put on "just for Tommy". All of Tommy's workmates came. By the time we started, the table was full!

Abra's Wonderful Tea Party

(Abra hard at work)

On April 5th, Abra threw Cohen a shower for those in Tennessee I have known many many years. (In fact, I've been friends with Abra for about ten years.) Abra and her husband Aaron were one of the first we told that we were pregnant. Of course, they were shocked... but the first thing Abra said was, "I'm throwing you a shower!" Abra throws the most wonderful parties and has the best ideas; so, I was thrilled!
She decided on a Tea Party theme and offered the most wonderful tea I've ever had in my life. It's called Tea Forte... every flavor was spectacular.
And of course, you can't have a tea party without beautiful tea cups!
Abra always goes above and beyond, especially for her friends. She bought a cake from the best cake baker in Knoxville...MagPies. It was so yummy! She also had scones with clotted cream and tea sandwiches.
Stephanie was the game coordinator, and she came up with several fun games such as racing matching baby socks and memory... I won a candy bar!
And of course, I got tons of great gifts. They are helping us out soooo much. Thanks everyone! We truly appreciate your generosity! And super thanks to Abra!

Surprise Shower!
and what a surprise it was! The congregation had a surprise shower planned for me on April 19th. Little did they (or I) know that when I woke up on April 18th, little Cohen would be on his way. He decided that he wanted to be the big surprise on April 19th! I really appreciate the generosity of the congregation, and I hate that I couldn't be there for the shower. Tommy was able to attend though, with Cohen being born only hours before. Yummy cake! They saved me the center of the cake, and it was sooooooo good. I wish I had more right now! Poor Tommy.. what a day! At least he got out and enjoyed some great association and food! Sister O'Mary with the sign they made that I kept in my hospital room. Thank you everyone for the thoughtfulness!

CONGRATULATIONS! We were so happy to hear the news that your baby boy had been born. We want to see pictures! It's hard to believe that the last time we saw you,you were newly pregnant, and now he's here. We can't wait to come home and meet him. In the meantime please give him a big hug from us.
Love, N&E
P.S Abra is a star! Sorry i missed the tea party!
